Using FamilyMacro

FamilyMacro helps households log food, review nutrition estimates, set profile goals, manage family members, and share meals across profiles. You are responsible for reviewing and correcting entries before relying on them.

Optional app diagnostics

The separate, unchecked “Help us improve FamilyMacro” checkbox during household signup is optional. Choosing it permits a temporary interaction trail linked to your signed-in account to help us find confusing controls, failed actions, and app faults. Declining does not affect account creation, app access, pricing, or features. Accepting these Terms or the Privacy Policy alone does not enable detailed interaction recording.

The trail can include approximate tap positions, neutral control types and states, keyboard activation attempts, screen changes, scrolling, timing, and request categories and outcomes. It does not contain typed text, DOM labels, meal or health values, photos, passwords, screen images, or full page URLs. It goes to FamilyMacro’s own backend and is available only through protected administration, not to an advertising or session-replay service.

Recording ends automatically on 8 October 2026 at 14:00 Copenhagen time. Interaction records stop appearing after 14 days and are physically removed at the next diagnostic write or administration review, or earlier when the relevant account or household is deleted. We record the signup choice, its time and this diagnostic wording version as consent evidence; that evidence follows the account’s normal consent-record retention and does not authorise a future investigation.

You can withdraw at any time in Settings → My Account using “Stop and remove detailed diagnostics”. Recording stops immediately on that device; when the server confirms the change, stored interactions for that account are removed and later interaction writes are rejected. Limited technical fault categories and bundled-code locations help fix app errors independently of the optional click trail. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control disable this temporary collection. Nutrition information in FamilyMacro is for everyday tracking and planning. It is not medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Speak with an appropriate professional for medical, dietary, or child-health decisions.

Household accounts and profiles

The master admin manages the family subscription, family profiles, paid extra profiles, invites, and child profiles. Adults are responsible for their own privacy settings. Younger children stay parent-managed; older children can have app access only when the master admin enables it.

Subscriptions and access

Family Monthly includes four profiles unless the current Google Play listing says otherwise. Extra profile access, trial windows, renewals, and cancellation steps follow the Google Play purchase path. See the public pricing page for the current plan summary.

Support and account changes

Contact support for account access, billing, privacy, or deletion help. You remain responsible for cancelling paid subscriptions through the purchase provider when required.
